Why the number 16?
Mercedez-Benz W 196 R bearing the No.16. This automobile had a tremendous season in 1954 / 1955, including a double victory for Fangio who had moved from Maserati to Mercedes Benz earlier. This holdall is designed to reflect and commemorate the automobile driven by a young Stirling Moss.
Seen here in a light Silver leather with white roundel and red numbering. The holdall has a full end to end zip and is lined with an imitation pigs skin, much more durable than a cotton interior. It also has metal studded feet to protect the leather when stored.
The holdall will prove to be an ideal holdall a racing and Mercedes enthusiast. It is multi versatile and fits easily in the over head lockers on all aircraft.
